This dominance has changed the way content is produced, marketed, and monetized. How do publishers balance quality and the appetite for clicks? How do platforms manage the integrity of their feeds against promoted content?

In STEP2017, we brought publishers and platforms together on one stage to find out how they work together to reach the right audience with the right content, in a session moderated by Strategy & Development Director at DMS, Ziad Khammar. Joining the debate on the publisher side were Dima Khatib, Managing Director of AJ+, Lorna Blount, Multi-platform producer & journalist at BBC, while on the platform side sat Dina Amin, MEA Head of Publisher Partnerships at Google, and Kinda Ibrahim, the Director of Media Partnerships for Twitter in the Middle East and North Africa.
