Step hosted the second edition of the Step Saudi conference online

Step hosted the second edition of the Step Saudi conference online this November 2020 with a special guest HRH Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saudi, Saudi Ambassador to the United States. 

Step, organizers of Step Conference, the leading technology festival for emerging markets, hosted the second edition of the Step Saudi conference online on November 24th and 25th 2020. The first edition of Step Saudi took place in 2019 in-person in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, Step adapted quickly and shifted to virtual events, actually hosting its first virtual conference, Step Anywhere, in August of 2020 as a three-day event.

Step Saudi 2020 saw over 1000 attendees from the many different types of stakeholders in the technology and startup ecosystem including 100 showcasing startups, various investors, government entities, accelerators, incubators, and corporate brands. The speaker line-up and program feature over 70 regional and global influencers in the space including a fireside chat hosted by Christopher Schroeder of Next Billion Ventures with HRH Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saudi, who covered her views globally and on the Saudi local ecosystem on youth, the success of women, talent, and innovation.

Step Saudi 2020 marked the last event for Step this year. Step has already started making announcements on its planned events for 2021 across its different brands including Step Match, a series of networking events for startup founders; Step Next, a tech talent match making event for those interested in working at a startup; the Maté Conversations, a podcast featured emerging market founders hosted by their very own co-founder and CEO, Ray Dargham; Step Anywhere; and Step Saudi. 

The anticipated Step Conference in Dubai will be pushed from its original date in February to a later time, to be announced.
