Meet the Women Dominating STEP 2020

Erica Kerner, Melissa Rosenthal, Adah Parris, Asma Shabab and Helen Chen are just a few of the strong speakers joining STEP 2020 this year.

Joining us at STEP Digital, is the Sr. Advisor at ONE Championship, Asia’s largest Sports Media Property, Erica Kerner. She was also the VP of Marketing & Comms at Tiffany & Co. The Asia Pacific, and has more than 20 years of experience with other companies like Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Nike and more in the Asia Pacific.

Melissa Rosenthal, also joining the STEP Digital line-up, hails from the US. She was part of Cheddar, a live video media company, acquired by Altice USA for $200M. She’s now co-founded Inspo, a text-tech publishing network.

Joining us on STEP X is Adah Parris, who takes a philosophical approach to technology, hones her skills in pattern recognition and creates immersive storytelling and learning and development environments. She’s worked with global companies including Google, Unilever, Sainsbury’s, Ogilvy Labs, The British Council, The EU Council, Burning Man Camp, and more.

Asma Shabab, also joining the STEP X area, is the Digital Strategy Leader at IBM, UAE, and advises companies and governments on how technology can help them create a competitive advantage. With insights into the role of technologies such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, blockchain and big data, Asma is uniquely placed to help organizations develop sustainable strategies that address disruption and future-proof their businesses.

Finally, joining us on Main Stage is Helen Chen, the CEO and Co-founder of Nomad, a property technology company in the Middle East. Prior to founding Nomad, Helen was an investor and worked at several notable companies including Goldman Sachs, China Investment Corporation (CIC), and Blackstone as well as studying at Stanford Business School. A strong believer in supporting women both in tech and in the boardroom, Helen is a champion for hiring female talent at Nomad and encouraging a balanced workforce.
